Dave Henderson
Running to put Lynchburg first, and restore seriousness and civility to Lynchburg City Council.
I was born and raised here in Lynchburg. I graduated from Brookville High School (proud Brookville Bee). My wife and I moved around the country, built careers, and started a family.
But when it came time to decide where we wanted to put down roots, there was never any real question. We came home. We live downtown. Our kids are Lynchburg City School kids. In 2016, we opened The Water Dog in downtown Lynchburg.
Now I’m ready to roll up my sleeves to help the Lynchburg I know and love to lead with seriousness and civility so we can focus on the work that actually improves people’s lives and moves Lynchburg forward.
I currently serve as Vice Chair for Lynchburg’s Planning Commission as well as several boards across the city, including as President of Central Virginia United Soccer serving hundreds of families across the area. Additionally, I serve on Downtown Lynchburg Association, Lynchburg Grows, the Free Clinic of Central Virginia.
